report AOG continued with their direct play in the second half but they took the lead with a rare piece of passing interplay that saw a midfielder ghost behind the Potter Street defence to score a well worked goal. As the second half progressed Potter Street matched their opponents style of play and began to create chances but the turning point was a penalty save by the Potter Street goalkeeper Iain Huckett. The avoidance of going 2 goals behind lifted Potter Street and a mazy run by the ever dangerous Dan Crook on the left saw him cut back from the touchline and fire home with approximately 15 minutes left of normal time. Both teams had their chances to avoid the extra 30 minutes but both 'keepers saved anything that hit the target. 2-2 at full-time. Extra-time was probably edged by Potter Street but chances were yet again created and spurned at each end and the game went to penalties. AOG took
the first penalty and scored, Dan Crook scored to level things. Team from

report Potter Street opened the scoring in almost the first minute. An attack down the left from Dan Crook saw a pass to Jack Hayter who skipped passed 2 or 3 challenges and an early strike from the edge of the box caught the 'keeper unawares and the ball flew into the net. Hazel Grove didn't let the early setback effect them and they had the better of possession for most of the first half and got a deserved equaliser after about 30 minutes. 1-1 at half-time. Potter Street had the better of the second half and retook the lead with a Jack Hayter header from a pinpoint Michael Cowley corner. Potter Street's third goal came from Robert Redington who volleyed home a backpost cross and their fourth came from Dan Crook who blasted home from the edge of the box (though there is some debate as to whether Steve Cody got the last touch). report Potter Street never looked like coming away from St. Albans with anything but 3 points as they dominated play from first to final whistle. Dan Crook was playing as loan striker but his hold-up play and distribution led to many opportunities for Potter Street, and one such chance saw a well timed run from Mark Bellworthy put him through on goal with time to compose himself and power home his shot for the opener. The second goal came from the penalty spot as a poorly timed challenge felled Jack Hayter and Mark Bellworthy stepped up to double his tally. 2-0 to Potter Street at half-time. The pressure from Potter Street continued in the second half and Romans' efforts to stop the visitors frequently resulted in dead ball situations. Dan Crook tested the 'keeper from one of the direct free-kicks and the number 1's inability to deal with the shot saw Mark Bellworthy tap home for a hatrick. Another free-kick resulted in Jack Hayter opening his account for the boys from Harlow with a tap in at the back post. The final goal came from the penalty spot when a comical handball gifted Michael Cowley the chance to slot home from 12 yards. Final score 5-0 to Potter Street. Team from

report Potter Street opened the scoring in the first half with a quick couple of passes that started with a ball from the edge of their own box to Dan Crook on the left flank who then flighted a perfectly weighted pass over the heads of the Three Churches defenders to find Robert Redington with time to compose himself and pass the ball past the 'keeper into the bottom corner. Three Churches were finding it tough to keep possession but the wind was in their favour and the quick ball to their front pair was causing some problems for the Potter Street defence and it was one of these counter attacking breaks that resulted in the equaliser. A small period of pressure from the Three Churches team was eventually halted when another break down the left flank culminated in Steve Cody chipping the keeper to retake the lead and Potter Street went in at half-time with a narrow one goal lead. Potter Street continued to look the more likely team to score at the start of the second half but the bobbly surface and some dogged defending kept the Three Churches team within touching distance of a share of the spoils. The decisive third goal came from a Potter Street set piece and Dan Crook ghosted beyond the Three Churches defence to head home from close range. Final score 3-1 to Potter Street. Team from

report The pitch was showing the effects of the recent weather and the first goal was going to be invaluable on a pitch that was too heavy to yield many goals. Potter Street got the important first goal when a failed clearance and penalty area scramble saw Dalton Chamberlain score his first ever goal for the hosts. Chances proved to be few and far between and the score remained 1-0 until half time. Potter Street made an enforced change at half-time as Paul Surridge had picked up a knock in the first period. His replacement, Tony Gay, played an important part in Potter Street's second as he delivered the cross from the right touchline that found Dan Crook at the far post to tap home from close range. The Ambassadors gave themselves a chance when their captain turned a Potter Street defender and his well placed shot rolled in to the bottom corner and for a brief moment in the final moments of the game the team from South Manchester thought they'd leveled, but the goal was ruled out for offside and the team from Harlow held on for a 2-1 win in their first game since 12th December. report The second half was a relatively tight affair but Potter Street scored three more goals without reply to complete a league double over their rivals at the top of the league. (Dan Crook scored another two to complete a hat-trick and Mitchell Conlan got on the scoresheet to get his fifth in four games). Team from

report The match was a scrappy affair and Potter Street started the brighter without creating any clear cut chances. The opener was scored towards the end of the first half, against the general run of play, by the visitors from St. Albans when a poorly struck free-kick went under a jumping wall to bobble into the bottom corner. The home side leveled soon after when a hopeful ball forward fell to the feet of Mitchell Conlan who slotted home from the edge of the box with the 'keeper caught out of position. There was still time for Romans to restore their lead before the break when a midfield player managed to break through on goal from nowhere and finish clinically. 1-2 at half-time. Potter Street kept with the same formation for the second half and were gifted the equaliser when a stray pass gave Steve Cody a 1-on-1 with the 'keeper and he slotted home without hesitation. The cup tie nature of the fixture resulted in Lloyd Osagie picking up a dead leg and Robert Redington was introduced to the forward line with Steve Cody taking up a midfield position. Robert's first touch of the ball was a shot on target which resulted in Potter Street's winner. Final score 3-2 to Potter Street. Team from

report Potter Street dominated throughout with Dan Crook and Steve Cody both causing their respective full backs all manner of problems and it was the former who scored the first of his five goals early in the game to give Potter Street a well deserved lead. The home team replied almost immediately however as a massive kick from the Springfield 'keeper bounced once before being half-volleyed home on the second bounce by one of their front two. The red headed forward line for Potter Street were also too much to handle for the home side and both players contributed to the interplay that resulted in Dan getting his brace and then hat-trick before the end of the first half. Dan's hat-trick was a classy first time chip from 20 yards that will probably have to be considered as a Goal of the Season contender. The half-time score was 3-1 but Potter Street had spurned a number of good opportunities to put the game out of their hosts reach and Steve Cody placed his bid for Miss of the Season with a close range effort that he blazed over the crossbar. The second half was played at a slower pace and Potter Street kept possession well. The Springfield 'keeper did well to keep his side in the game with a couple of good saves, the highlight being a spectacular instinctive save that denied Steve from getting on the score sheet. Potter Street's fourth came from the penalty spot as Dan was brought down having outpaced three of the home team. He picked himself up and converted the spot kick. Springfield got another goal back with time almost up but Potter Street and Dan's fifth followed soon after; possibly the best of the bunch, Dan accurately found the top corner with a curling effort that lobbed the 'keeper. report Dan Crook opened the scoring for Potter Street in the early exchanges with a direct free-kick but the visitors from Stevenage were gifted an equaliser with a debatable penalty in the closing moments of the first half. Half-time 1-1. In truth, Potter Street struggled to cause problems for the solid defence of the Cornerstone team throughout; Andy Kitson failed to cope with the rib injury that he'd picked up the previous weekend and the home team might as well have been playing with ten at times. The resulting fatigue to the men in blue saw goalkeeper Iain Huckett called into action on several occasions to tidy up from sloppy losses of possession. The eventual winner for Cornerstone came as Ginge made his only real error of judgment which saw him lobbed as he tried to clear up from a well weighted through ball. Final score 2-1. Team from

report Right from kick-off Thorley showed that they wanted to win and they seemed to get the better of most 50-50 situations and they caused problems from the set plays that Potter Street seemed to keep offering. Thorley's opener came with a fair degree of good fortune as the eventual goal scorer caught Dan Crook in the first phase of play that led to the goal with a late challenge that left him seriously injured on the edge of the six-yard box. With Potter Street hoping that the whistle would either blow for the free-kick or for Dan to get treatment, Thorley capitalized on their numerical advantage and scored in the following phases of play. This hit Potter Street hard as they had to cope with the loss of one of their key players as well as the goal deficit. The remainder of the first half seemed to favour Potter Street as they pushed to make up for their poor start but the score remained 1-0 to Thorley at half-time. The second half was an untidy affair which favoured the hosts physical style and Sam Knott caused problems as he hassled and hurried the Potter Street defence throughout. He later got a deserved goal for his efforts when he headed home from a Thorley corner. With twenty minutes left on the clock Potter Street woke up and with the tactical change to play three at the back Potter Street began to play some superb football which resulted in John-Paul Healey netting in his first match this season. It appeared that it would only be a matter of time before the equaliser came but a couple of good penalty claims were turned away and it didn't! Final score 2-1 to Thorley. Team from
